Gift and volunteer drive now underway
ReVision is a local faith-based nonprofit that ministers to children of incarcerated parents and their caregivers. Nall will host a Christmas party for these families on Saturday, Dec. 2, 4-6 pm, the CLC/Gym.
Both donations and volunteers are requested
Donate gifts
For the children:
The Christmas tree in the main hallways has tags representing gifts requested by children ages 7 through 16. Each tag lists the child's name, age, requested gift and estimated cost of the gift. Gifts are estimated to cost between $10 and $30.
Instructions:
- Take a tag (or several)
- Shop for the gift requested.
- Return the new, unopened, unwrapped gift to the Christmas tree with the tag attached by Wednesday, Nov. 29.
For the caregivers:
During the party, the children will have a chance to "shop" for several stocking stuffer gifts for their caregivers. Help us fill the gift table by donating items such as:
- Fuzzy socks
- Gloves
- Sunglasses
- Bath and body products
- Nail care kits
- Scarf
- Microwave popcorn bags
- Earbuds
- Mini flashlights
- Gum or breath mints
- Small boxes or bags of nice chocolates
- Playing cards
- Candles
- Wooden 3x5 or 4x6 picture frames
- Decorative dish towels
- Small décor items
- Crossword puzzles or game books
- Jerky
- Comb or brush
These are suggestions only! Feel free to bring other fun, adult-centered stocking stuffers for the table.
Drop off your donations in the designated bin by the Christmas tree in the main hallway.
