We were the first Southern Baptist church established in Johnson County, Kansas, and have parental ties to many of the large Baptist churches currently calling Johnson County home.

Our congregation represent multiple generations, from the charter members to a new generation of young families who come from a variety of church backgrounds, and no church background at all.

In recent years, we have started phenomenal community ministries such as Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), Upward Sports basketball, AWANA Clubs, and Wednesday Night Dinners prepared by our professional cook.

We have been partners with the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists as well as the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association since 1953. We have long been known as one of the most faithful congregations in giving toward the Southern Baptist Convention’s Global Missions Fund.

Our vision is to glorify God and make disciples by transforming lives, building relationships, and impacting communities through Jesus Christ. We desire to make disciples who in turn make disciples.
