GriefShare
A new cycle of GriefShare group will begin meeting Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 5 to 6:30 PM, for a 13-week period. It may be joined at any time. This on-going series of Bible-based lessons encouraging ways to grieve and communicate your grief and desires to others is open to members of this church and the surrounding community. When you have lost a spouse, child, parent, family member or friend, you soon find out that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt and emptiness you feel. GriefShare is a seminar and confidential support group facilitated and sponsored by people who understand what you might be experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this time.
The title of this video driven series is "Your Journey from Mourning to Joy." A workbook assists you with note taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.
For a sample of what to expect at GriefShare, visit www.griefshare.org. If you are financially able to do so, it is requested that you pay $15 to cover the cost of the workbook; however, no one will be turned away for an inability to pay. Childcare is available only through pre-registration.
Classes meet Sundays, May 20, 2012 through August 19, from 5 to 6:30 PM in Room B-102 (we will not meet June 24). This is a cyclical class so the class may be joined at anytime. Brochures are available at the welcome desk or by calling the church office. Take one and give it to a friend, offer to financially sponsor a friend as a gift to them, or offer to attend the first few sessions with your friend.
