Activities Committee
This group plans and implements recreational ministries including sports, community events and other church activities.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee reviews the financial records of the church as required and reports to the church at least annually. This group also ensures that government reports are filed, reviews the church's accounting procedures, and makes recommendations on property and liability insurance.
Benevolence Committee
This group supervises the collection, storage and distribution of food, clothing, furniture and money as its gathered by the church. The food and money is distributed through the committee to minister to people who are in need in Johnson County.
Childrens Committee
Children committee team members formulate and recommend any policies and procedures concerning children. This group also helps to maintain childrens rooms and equipment, strengthen home-church relationships with parents and a plan/implement childrens activities.
Constitution Committee
The Constitution Committee assists the Director of Administration in the maintenance and distribution of the Church Constitution, Bylaws and Policy/Committee Manual. They also promote and encourage a better understanding of the Church Constitution, Bylaws and Policy/Committee Manual, and serve as a resource committee in the interpretation of the Constitution, Bylaws and Policy/Committee Manual.
Day Care Committee
The Day Care Committee formulates policies for the operation of the Day Care Center. This committee prepares an annual budget, ensures proper licensing as required by applicable laws and has the financial records of the Day Care Center audited by the church Audit Committee or an independent public accountant.
Evangelism Committee
This committee assists the Pastor/Staff to achieve our stated purpose of being a witnessing fellowship. This group promotes a spirit of evangelism and personal witnessing by making the church membership aware of opportunities and responsibilities in these areas.
Family Ministries Committee
The Family Ministries Committee is responsible for church programs which provide for the needs of families; and to provide family-enhancing programs for couples, parents, children, and other family members. This group encourages and assists other church programs in meeting the needs of families.
Flower Committee
The flower committee is responsible for securing, arranging and disposing of floral decorations for the church services.
Kitchen Committee
The Kitchen Committee oversees the use of the church kitchens as well as makes recommendations concerning repairs, improvements and equipment needs. This group also instructs and guides the users of the kitchens to care for the equipment and to keep the kitchens in clean and in good condition.
Long Range Planning Committee
NABC annually elects one person to lead the work of the Long Range Planning Committee. This person works with the church staff and others to review and update the Long Range Plan.
Memorial Committee
The Memorial Committee makes recommendations to the church for the use of the funds given to the Church Memorial Fund. This group also develops and maintains a Memorial Book to record the names of those for whom memorial donations are received.
Missions Committee
The Missions Committee conducts studies for local missions needs, develops plans for meeting church mission needs, requests and administers missions resources, communicates with the Associational Missions Committee and other appropriate groups outside the church.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee recruits and recommends people for the various leadership positions within the church.
Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee provides general supervision of the policies and procedures concerning employees of the church. The Personnel Committee ensures that job descriptions for all salaried positions are current, recommends compensation rates and works with appropriate church officers and committees in hiring people for church positions.
Preschool Committee
The Preschool Committee formulates and recommends preschool policies and procedures for church adoption, maintains preschool rooms and equipment and strengthens home-preschool relationships.
Properties Committee
The Properties Committee oversees the church's physical property and establishes policies for the maintenance and care of all property. This group also makes recommendations for new equipment, major improvements and repairs.
Publicity Committee
The Publicity Committee promotes NABC to the surrounding community through the use of
advertising and promotional material. This group oversees and makes recommendations to the
website, church documents and other publicity materials.
Social Committee
The Social Committee sponsors events to meet the social needs of members. This group also provides general supervision of all church-wide social activities.
Stewardship Committee
This committee has overall responsibility for stewardship education, missions support, budget preparation, and for budget administration.
Service Committees/Groups of the Church - These committees and service groups do not formulate church policy and are exempt from leadership rotation.
The Media Center Committee is responsible for the care, maintenance and use of the media center area, its equipment including the Church's audio-visual equipment, books and other literature.
Music Council
The Music Council assists the Minister of Music by advice, promotion and administration of the church music ministry.
New Members Committee
The New Members Committee is responsible for providing opportunities for new church members to be informed concerning the activities and affiliations of the church. This group also provides ways for new members to be acclimated into the church.
Sound and Lights Committee
The Sound & Lights Committee helps control lights and sound equipment for all worship services. This group operates all audio and video technology during worship services.
Ushers
Ushers greet and seat people during worship services. Ushers also collect the offering and minister to the comfort and convenience of those in the congregation.
