We will glorify God and make disciples by transforming lives, building relationships and impacting communities through Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to glorify God by being a spiritual fellowship for the development of disciples.

We strive to be a Worshiping Fellowship experiencing an ongoing awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership. A Witnessing Fellowship empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with the people in our church, community, and throughout the world. A Learning Fellowship seeking a growing knowledge of the Biblical revelation of God to man. A Serving Fellowship ministering unselfishly in Jesus' name to persons in our church, community, and throughout the world. And a Giving Fellowship, Christ-like in daily living, emphasizing total surrender of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptist, and the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association.

Our Core Values

People

We believe that every person matters to Jesus. Our mission is to see lives transformed through an environment where people are welcome and encouraged to discover the transforming power of Christ. We know that God moves through intentional relationships, and our priority is to serve and invest in people through Jesus Christ.

Truth

We affirm the Inspired Word of God to be central in our preaching, teaching and service. It is through the authority of the Bible that we seek to live as followers of Jesus Christ. We are committed to equipping people to understand and apply the truth of God's Word and challenging all to live it out faithfully in every aspect of their lives.

Growth

We recognize the importance of every person taking the next step in their Christian walk. This expectation for spiritual growth begins from the moment of salvation and continues as the believer in Christ matures in their faith. Through this process, individuals and families are encouraged to build on the foundation of knowing Christ and become equipped to lead others in their spiritual journey.

Worship

We understand that as followers of Christ, we are to glorify God through our worship. We desire to be transparent and to present ourselves to Him with open hearts and receptive minds with the goal of being transformed by His presence. We also believe that worship does not end on Sunday. Every day provides an opportunity to extend our worship beyond the church walls as we live in prayerful dependence and serve those in our communities with love.

Excellence

We aspire to do everything with a spirit of excellence which points to Jesus Christ. This expectation of excellence honors God and inspires others to live with integrity. Through God's grace, our work shall be infused with the intentionality that allows for difficult questions and encourages productive solutions.

Our Beliefs About...

God

We believe in God, the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in all wisdom, measureless in power.
Matthew 28: 19 and II Corinthians 13: 14

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son, miraculous in His birth, sinless in His life, making atonement for the sins of the world by His death.  We believe in His bodily resurrection, and His personal visible return to the world according to His promises.
Matthew 1: 23

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement.  And to regenerate, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.
John 16: 7-14 and Galatians 5: 25

Salvation

We believe all men by nature and by choice are sinners, but that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3: 16-18

The Church

We believe that the church is a living spiritual body of which all regenerated people are members; that the church is a company of believers in Christ, baptized in the way He commanded on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work, fellowship, and for spreading the gospel.
Ephesians 1: 22-23; Colossians 1: 18; and Matthew 28: 18-20
